What should I wear for my massage treatment?
Please note that some treatments such as Traditional Thai Massage (on floor mat), Reflexology (if seated, off massage table), must be done clothed (stretchy, comfortable clothes is encouraged) while Therapeutic Massage, MLD/Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone Massage and Prenatal Massage can be done over the skin as the massage table has linens/blanket to cover the body. You will be able to get on/off the table in privacy.
What do I need to know about parking and accessibility to my home/location?
Your home/location is in Campbell River, Black Creek or Quadra Island (please contact if in another area) and nearby parking is needed.
A maximum of 5 steps -or access to a standard-sized working elevator- to reach the treatment area (due to weight/size of equipment) is requested. Access to a sink for hand washing/wetting towels (or filling foot soak bin for reflexology treatment) and a few electrical outlets (for towel warmer, heating sources and hot stone warmer) is also needed, please.
What equipment is used, and how much space is needed in my home/location for mobile massage?
Most treatments require an approximate surface area of: 12ft x 7ft for the massage table, or 10ft x 6ft for the massage mat (Traditional Thai Massage). A massage chair that fits in smaller spaces, is also available upon request.
Reflexology treatments utilize a comfortable seat already in your home - ideally with a way to prop up the feet/legs.
Additional Massage table & chair facts:
I have pets at home - is that ok?
Some pets are friendly and like to say "HI", some retreat right away, while others may insist on being present around you during the massage treatment for example. Each pet is unique in their reaction to new people in their home and you know them best to discern where it would be good for them to be during the treatment/my arrival. I have no allergies and don't have any concerns with pets if they are safe around visitors and their belongings.
Please note: Pet owners are responsible for their pet(s)'s behaviour around my supplies/equipment which can include -but are not limited to- the use of essential oils and hot surfaces which could possibly be harmful to them if in close contact/ingested.
I have concerns about Covid (or others) and would feel more comfortable if you wore a mask and/or used gloves in the home/during the treatment - is that possible?
Yes, that can be done - please let me know in advance if possible. Please note that even with the best of efforts to reduce the risk of such, it is still possible to come into contact with Covid (or others) upon meeting/during the treatment. Expressing concerns ahead of time can allow for discussing it together, if desired.
What should I do if I need to cancel my massage appointment?
Please, kindly provide 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a massage treatment whenever possible. In the event you are feeling unwell, please cancel (and reschedule if desired) your treatment as soon as possible upon recognizing symptoms. To cancel, call/text: 250-300-8071 and I will happily work with you to reschedule.
